This Lenten Season
We walk into this season remembering
Mortality, frailty, shortcomings.
Failure crashes on in waves,
Neglecting what I ought to do,
Doing what I ought not,
If not for the grace,
Despair would take
Every chamber,
Pumping shame throughout my body,
Reminding me of the
Mortality, frailty, shortcomings.
So let me keep diligent,
As the watchman for the morning,
For the goodness of the Lord.
We see more and more each day His grace.
Grace that crushed death in pursuit of hearts.
