Another year has come and gone by. There were many joys but also many struggles. In it all, God has still proven Himself faithful in my life.
This has been a big year for The Thin Place! So many women have been reached with encouragement to walk close to Jesus than they have in previous years.
There are several articles that have encouraged Christian living. Below are the top 10 posts from The Thin Place this last year.
I hope you find a couple of new posts to enjoy and old favorites to share with your friends.

But then, the days get busy and the weeds of life tighten around my neck and draw my attention to Facebook and to the laundry. . . Read more here
4. How Facebook Almost Ruined My Marriage
My husband is not perfect. Don’t get me wrong, he is wonderful and I love him dearly, but he is far from perfect. He lashes out sometimes when he’s sleep-deprived and stressed. He forgets to take out the trashed or change the oil in the car when I’ve asked at least 1,000 times. And for some strange reason, he doesn’t magically read my mind and bring home flowers when I’ve had a hard day. . . Read more here
5. Prayer: A Private Devotion (+A Free Prayer Journal)
Can we dispel the myth that to be a prayer warrior, you have to be a public speaker? Because it’s simply not true.
There are instructions given for the proclamation of the Gospel, for public encouragement in the Word of God, and there are instructions given on prayer. They are all different instructions. . . Read more here
6. 10 Triggers To Remind You To Pray Without Ceasing
One of the most troublesome charges that Paul gave the Early Church was to pray without ceasing.
What does that even look like? If you are like me, you spend some time praying (on a good day) but most of your brain energy is consumed throughout the way with the mundane, but oh so stressful, aspects of life.
We need to cultivate habits of prayer by bringing the sacred into every moment of our lives. . . Read more here

9. Stop Teaching Your Daughter to be Modest
Modesty. Can we stop using this word constantly?
My high school experience was at the height of the “Modest is Hottest” campaign and I suffered for it. I am grateful for the mother who had an incredibly balanced approach but walking into church was a struggle. . . Read more here
10. 10 Christian Books That Need to Be On Your Radar
Despite the craziness of this season in my life, I jumped on the opportunity to spend last weekend at the Festival of Faith and Writing. It was my first time gathering with other Christian writers. Never before had I been afforded the chance to gather with believers from all different walks and backgrounds, united in their love of Jesus and writing.
It was invigorating. . . Read more here
